What is Strategy Marketplace?
Strategy Marketplace is a user-friendly platform that combines the best brokerage house technology together with world-class strategists to help consumers build unique investment portfolios at a nominal fee. As a hub for consumers to work directly with financial professionals, the platform manages your money for you through guided investment practices per particular financial strategy, or a mixture of strategies, specific to your needs.
How does Strategy Marketplace compare to other programs?
Strategy Marketplace would be considered a “Robo-Advisor,” meaning that you fund your account, and our program will automatically rebalance according to your selected strategy or group of strategies. Other “Robo-Advisor” programs utilize a single investment strategy as a sole resource to invest. With the Strategy Marketplace, you not only have unique strategies that other platforms do not have, but you also have the privilege of utilizing multiple strategists at a time, making your investment portfolio even more diversified.
Our pricing structure is set up to keep costs low. When financial advisors outsource their investment strategies, they are charged an advisor’s fee for permission to use them passing on this fee to the consumer who ends up paying much more than they would have gone direct. Our program keeps costs low from the investment advisory accounts while offering an easy, low monthly fee for on-going investment advice, minimizing your costs while giving you customized financial advice.
How does pricing work?
Investing & Retirement Services: Your accounts are charged a fee based upon the amount of the account value. This fee varies depending upon the level of service you utilize working with your financial professional. We require a $500 minimum balance in order to open an account with us.
Premium Financial Services: If you would like to work with a financial professional more frequently, we charge an upgrade fee of $199. This fee can be debited directly from your investment account to simplify the process for you.
Who do I work with when I upgrade?
With an upgrade, you can either work with one of our specialized Strategy Marketplace Financial Professionals or one of our many in-network advisory partners who are experienced in helping individuals achieve their financial goals through goal-based planning. They use the best-in-the-industry technology partners to accurately analyze where you stand, where you want to go, and create a clear path of how to get there. You will also have access to direct communication with your Financial Professional through our communications portal. Our advisors will gladly work with you to help guide you through the entire process.

Strategists go through their due diligence in completing a rigorous vetting process. We look for unique strategists that utilize strategies counter to the “buy and hold” philosophy which is primarily used within the investment community today. Each strategist will be unique in their own right and different from the other strategists used within SMP.

How do I fund my account?

Depending on the strategy, you will be provided with the appropriate funding options. The funding options include:
